Bill Chee, President and CEO, Locations LLCPrudential Locations, Hawaii’s largest real estate firm, announced its intent to change its name back to Locations. Effective February 1, 2015, the local company will no longer be affiliated with Prudential Financial, Inc.

“Changing our name back to Locations largely represents a transition of moving to our roots as an independent local company,” said Bill Chee, president and CEO of Locations. “We’re still the same real estate firm our clients and agents know and love – now with the best name in the business – and we’re enthusiastic about our ability to better deliver the innovative tools and exemplary customer service that we’re known for.”

Locations has five offices on Oahu and Maui, with approximately 300 agents, staff and managers serving clients on all Hawaiian Islands.

Established in 1969 as Locations, the real estate firm became an independently owned and operated member of Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc. in 1994 and changed its name to Prudential Locations. Today, the company says it’s the state’s leading real estate company, and it is the only firm in the top-5 that is not affiliated with a national franchise.

Additionally, Locations, as a standalone company is well positioned to make an even greater philanthropic impact in the State of Hawaii through its charitable arm, The Locations Foundation. All members of The Locations Foundation are real estate agents and staff of Locations. In 2013, Locations dedicated more than 2,000 volunteer hours and contributed approximately $180,000 to local charities.
